    Snow, Snow, Snow Let's enjoy

    Winter Snowshoeing In the City! Shaganappi Point Golf Course

    This will be CISC first snowshoeing event and we will get some practice in the city before heading out to the mountains!

    For those do not have snow shoes we will meet at Sports Rent at 12pm. It is $13.00 for snowshoes you won't need poles.

    Look for Debbie, sports organizer wearing orange jacket on outside parking lot gates.

    The entire 18 holes will take about 2.5-3 hours. We will start at 1:00 and finish around 4pm.

    Afterwards we may go for refreshments nearby MCDonalds or Tim Horton's

    All beginners adults and kids are welcome! Kids must be over 10 years old

    You are fully aware that organizers are not professional guides and you assume all responsibility for your safety and well-being.

    What to bring:
    Required Gear: 

    2L of water, snowshoes (must have your own-snowshoes will not be provided), hat, gloves, winter gear. 

    Wear and bring appropriate layers for the temperatures and weather (Bring snacks for yourself)

    Suggested Gear: first aid kit

    Waiver: Please read waiver attached (pdf).

    Weather dependent event: Please provide your contact information when registering in case this is a no go event last minute. If it is below -20C, the event will be cancelled.

    your 2017 personal tax return?

    CISC together with Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Alberta is organizing a Tax Clinic on March 17, 2018 from 10:00am to 02:00pm at Central Library Meeting Room 2, 616 Macleod Trail S.E. Calgary, Alberta T2G 2M2

    CPAs and CPA candidates volunteer can help you complete your personal tax return FREE OF CHARGE. Don’t miss out on valuable tax credits and benefits that you may be eligible to receive by filing your tax return.

    This program is designed to support low income Albertans. To participate you must meet the following program’s income guidelines:

    • Total income per household unit for taxpayer:
      • With no dependant $30,000 or less
      • With dependants $50,000 or less
    • Examples of type of income include: T4 (Statement of Remuneration Paid), T4A (Statement of Pension, Retirement, Annuity and Other Income), T4A(OAS) (Statement of Old Age Security), T4A(P) (Statement of Canada Pension Plan Benefits), T4E (Statement of Employment Insurance and Other Benefits), T4RSP (Statement of RRSP Income) and T5007 (Statement of Benefits).

    • All interest income and investment income (U.S., Canadian, etc.) is considered as income and is subject to the income guidelines.

    • Those individuals who have self-employment income and rental income are not eligible for this program, regardless of the amount of income. Also, we are unable to complete returns for individuals who have passed away.
